Something to Do on Sunday!

As of late, I've had some choice on what I can do with my time. This has actually turned into huge problem as I've haven't had very much experience at having free time for myself. For the last 30 something years, I have had a plateful of options for my time but all related to being a wife, a mother, a daughter and or a teacher. It seem to run it's own agenda, MY LIFE...from crisis, must be done, could be done later or it would be nice to have it done this century!

Now that the youngest has more important people to attend to or more interesting activities than hang with Mom....I'm on my own! Fortunately for me, I have the perfect foil with my trusty digital camera. I just pretend "in my mind" to being on an important photo shoot, possibly for National Geographic or Gardens of America then let the creative flair rip! Getting lost behind a lens is like stopping time while I have a mental conversation about lighting, composition or focal point. People will strike up conversations, babies will smile and animals just seem to perform for the camera. It's a coward's way out for me as I use the camera like a robber's mask taking bits and pieces from unsuspecting subjects.
These pictures are from my something to do on Sunday, yesterday at the Fort Worth Botantical Gardens and Japanese Gardens...one of my favorite haunts!
Hope you enjoy!

Hi Shara,
Sorry It's been a few days since I've checked in on you. It seems everytime I click onto your page my computer freezes and stops responding. It did it again today, but when I logged off and logged back on and tried again it worked. I hope all is well, and that you aren't suffering too badly from empty nest syndrom. My mom cried for two weeks when I moved out. But it may have been for joy since I was the baby of 10.
The photos are beautiful. You just snap away with that camera my friend. I love to take photos too. Talk to you soon, and looking forward to our visit soon. Cecile
