My daddy would say, "Go to sleep; tomorrow will take care of today's troubles shay". And so it did, in many ways.
The morning light shines into the dark corners making them less menacing and manageable.
So my life has leftovers that hasn't quite disappeared or at least become the distant past.
The morning flooded through my bedroom blinds onto my bed and finally crossed my pillow to gently nudge me awake. It's wonderful to open your eyes to a golden haze throughout your bedroom knowing it's another day...another chance...another moment of your life.
No more dark mood just anticipation for a message from South Africa, from Duncan~
I had some questions to ask, hoping not to anger him but needing them answered anyway.
The time came and went and I almost lost hope of connecting today when he did get online. I mentioned that I could almost go for the dixie cups and string trick rather than rely on Yahoo Messenger.
I was so happy but nervous about the things on my mind. We have had some misunderstandings before; via messaging and phone...I think there's some wiggle room between us because of the culture and background differences. And let's not mention the greatest reason for misunderstandings...I'm female and he's male...duh!
We really do perceive things differently and react to it differently. He seems to want me to be more logical but...that's not my strong suit. You want passion, someone to cheer you on, cry with you..for you..over you, be a playmate and a workmate that's I, but think like Spock; I think NOT! lol
The evening ended, {his because it's seven hours ahead in S.A. and early afternoon here} with me being very happy and satisfied with the answers to the questions and feeling a bit silly. I hope he remembers that I have lots of good qualities to offset the worry warts I go through.
This is indeed a year of change, adventure, growth and most of all learning. Amazing that the one thing that I'm learning the most about is myself. Imagine that!
I'm going outside to sit and look at the full moon again...from my window, he looks friendly now!
the Queen's heart is in South Africa tonight, following the moon...
