It was a very pleasant day in an Italian park in Parma with many people relaxing mid-day. A gentleman on his cell phone glances occasionally at my friend Shelly and I as we sit on a concrete ledge below a massive honorarium. Shelly was opening a bottle of vino, something local and spreading out a lunch of cheese, bread and fruit while I set to my pencils and paper. I was sketching the ancient fort at the base of the park when this little charmer came up for a look see! She smiled and spoke baby Italian of which I didn't really comprehend but I did understand that she was an admirer. I used the few Italian words I knew, pointing to her "Bella"...beautiful and "per favore" please and "graztie" thankyou, as I snapped these pictures of her. She seemed pleased, smiled and almost curtsied then off she trotted to her Mama!

We just went to Parma last weekend, and fell in love with it there. Just beautiful. The Duomo was incredible, did you go inside?
I am so looking forward to seeing more of your photos, and perhaps some of you art!
Grazie, buona sera, arrivederci -g
No Bindi, I didn't learn much italian but babies all speak the same language.
It was a great adventure and I'm still editing the photographes.
Your photos of India are breathtaking. I would love to visit India.
hugs, Shara
Hey Abi,
I thought I saw some fab pics of Parma on your blog. I was crushed to see that I missed that wonderful church. Shelly & I left fairly early before really exploring the city. What I did find was more than enough. Italy is so beautiful...didn't was to leave.
Glad your trip went well and everyone is hope safely.
Shara
