Cajun families center everything around food somehow. My brother has taken over as head of the Miller Clan. Everyone made it to his home for thanksgiving dinner reminding me of our many dinners in Iota, Louisiana so long ago. The old people spoke french, the many cousins played tag and hide and go seek under the ancient oak trees. It was a time of Norman Rockwell and Captain Kangaroo! I think we will never have that kind of innocence again.
