I have a long history loving music. This love affair began with a RC record player and my mom's collection of Broadway musicals like South Pacific, Oklahoma, and West Side Story. She had a large collection of opera and ballet suites like the Nutcracker and Firebird because she was a dancer and taught ballet, tap,folk dance for many years. That's the background!
To teach me how to visualize music, Mom would sit me down next to the record player and have me close my eyes. While listening, she would ask me to describe what was happening .....what did I in my mind ? From then on, I have had a deep personal relationship with music. Thanks Mom!
